Balkan Business and Investment Forum Held in the City of Edirne, Republic of Turkey

Edirne, Turkey – October 31 – November 1, 2024 – The Chairman of the Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI), Yancho Yanev, together with member companies of HCCI, took part in the Balkan Business and Investment Forum held at the Margi Hotel Edirne. The event was organized by the Governor of Edirne with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Turkey.

The event brought together numerous ministers, business representatives, and entrepreneurs from Balkan countries with the aim of strengthening economic unity in the region.

The forum provided unique opportunities to deepen economic integration and expand cooperation in the Balkan region. The strategic location of Edirne—at the crossroads between Turkey and the Balkans—was highlighted as a key for valuable opportunities for the region’s business communities. The forum also served as a platform for discussing business and investment opportunities in the Balkans.

Ministers and chairpersons of business councils participated in the session titled “Balkan Talks.” Opinions and perspectives were shared regarding the strategic development of various sectors in the region.

During bilateral business meetings, Mr. Yancho Yanev, Chairman of the Board of HCCI, discussed opportunities for establishing new business connections and initiatives aimed at strengthening economic cooperation among Balkan countries.

As part of the forum, Mr. Yancho Yanev also took part in a meeting of the Foreign Economic Relations Board (DEIK), where issues related to the development of trade, economic, and investment relations between the two neighboring countries were discussed.
