11-12 february 2011 - The HCCI organized for the 17th time the celebration of the Holiday of St. Trifon Zarezan, patron of the vine-growers
The event was attended by the president of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov, the President of Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Yancho Yanev, the deputy Regional Governor of Haskovo region Mr. Nikolay Nanev, Mrs. Nedyalka Staneva – deputy Mayor of Haskovo municipality, members of parliament, mayors from the region, representatives of partner organizations from Great Britain and Turkey and representatives of the local businesses and leading companies from the country. As usual, the celebration roused the interest of the foreign embassies in Bulgaria. The ambassadors of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kosovo, Finland and South Africa participated in the festivities as well as the Commercial Counselors of Germany, Spain, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, the Czech Republic and Croatia.
The business forum was organized on the 11th of February in the assembly hall of Haskovo Regional Council. The president of the Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Mr. Tsvetan Simeonov addressed the participants, representatives of the business, and presented the activities of the national chamber to the advantage of the business.
The following topics were discussed:
• Opportunities of the public-private partnership in the implementation of European projects
• Administrative barrier to businesses and ways to alleviate them
• Improvement of the legislative regulations and practices for public orders
After the business forum an official ceremony was held at Park hotel Europe. The Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry gave the yearly awards for high achievements and cooperation for the prosperity of Bulgarian business to the following companies and individuals:
• “Malkata Zvezda” Winery, Ltd. - Harmanli – for a company with dynamic development in the vine-growing and wine-making branch
• Mr. Juraj Melioris – Head of the Commercial department in the embassy of the Czech Republic – for long-term cooperation and contribution in the development of bilateral business relations
• Mr. Madzhid Mandadzha, Mayor of Stambolovo municipality, Haskovo region – for effective partnership with haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry in favour of the business development
• Mr. Boris Boyadjiev, member of the managing board of HCCI – for successful representation of HCCI and Haskovo businesses in the European Parliament and for his contribution in the achievement of the objectives of HCCI
• the internet site www.haskovo.info - for active media cooperation with HCCI to the advantage of local businesses
• Mrs. Diana Boyadzhieva – manager of “TVB – Tour”, Ltd, Mineralni Bani, Haskovo region - for high achievements in development of spa tourism
• Miss Katya Atanasova – expert at HCCI - for her exceptional contribution in accomplishment of the activities of HCCI
On the 12th of February the guests of HCCI visited the vine massifs of Malkata Zvezda Winery in the vicinity of the town of Harmanli where they attended the festive religious ceremony, the traditional vine-cutting and folklore programme.
