Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry (HCCI) organized a regional Bulgarian-Turkish business forum, which was held on 28.03.2013 in “Maritsa” hall, at the Regional Administration – Haskovo. The occasion was the visit of the Regional Governor of Edirne – Mr Hasan Duruer, on invitation of Mrs Irena Uzunova, Regional Governor of Haskovo District. The business-forum was opened by Mr Yancho Yanev, President of the Board of Directors of HCCI. Mr Lyubomir Popov – General Consul of Rep. of Bulgaria in Edirne, Mr Sener Cebeci – General Consul of Rep. of Turkey in Plovdiv, Prof. Dr Yener Yoruk – Chancellor of Trakya University in Edirne, representatives of Turkish-Bulgarian chamber of Commerce and Industry, Chamber of engineers in Haskovo and Edirne, Association of grain producers and representatives of companies in the sectors of: tourism, machinery, agriculture, winery, food industry, constructions and trade all attended the event. The regional governors presented economic opportunities of the Haskovo – Edirne cross-border region. The business forum ended with bilateral meetings of the participants. Later, the Turkish delegation visit manufacturing companies and important tourist’s sights in Haskovo district.
