Two business networking events were held under the CB CARBONFREE project in Haskovo

In the period from June 26 to 29, 2023, two two-day business networking events between entrepreneurs from the food industry,  industry, agriculture, specialized scientists and organizations were held in a the conference hall in the building of the Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry at the address: Haskovo, 4, Tsar Osvoboditel Str., floor 3.

The business networking events under work package D4.2.3, WP 4 were organized by the Haskovo Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the project: "Enhancement of business branding through the development of a carbon footprint evaluation system in the cross border area", CB CARBONFREE, No. 6300. The projects implementation period is from 13.04.2021 to 12.07.2023 under grant agreement No. B6.3a.30/13.04.2021 .

The first event was held from June 26 to 27, and the second from June 28 to 29, 2023. In both events, 14 representatives from the food and beverage sector and agriculture in the region took part.

The speakers at the events were Iva Stanisheva and Todor Novakov, who presented the audience with current topics and discussed with the participants the possibilities of cooperation in order to find solutions for adaptation to climate change, the use of circular business models and good practices for sustainable development, as well as the need for carrying out a comprehensive assessment of the impact of production on the environment and determining the resulting environmental effects. Business networking events raised participants' awareness of climate change and the implementation of measures to reduce the carbon footprint of production.
